Sphinx. Did you know that THE Sphinx is unusually a male rather than a female. His beard fell off over the centuries since it was the weakest link, so to speak. The British Museum has one of the chunks (and a reconstruction on what the Sphinx originally looked like). This lovely sheila is far more photogenic than a chunk of rock however, so you get a photo of her instead.
