The Da Vinci Code

I've finally got around to reading Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code to see what all the fuss is about. It's fantastic! The central premise, at least what I've gathered so far, isn't exactly new - hell I've read Shadowrun novels that have postulated some similar ideas! However, it is very well written and absolutely engrossing!

Favourite quotes thus far ~

"Symbologists often remarked that France - a country renowned for machismo, womanizing and diminutive insecure leaders like Napoleon and Pepin the Short - could not have chosen a more apt national emblem than a thousand-foot phallus." - on the Eiffel Tower.

"Goethe had decribed architecture as frozen music, ad Pei's critics described this pyramid as fingernails on a chalkboard." - on the neomodern glass pyramid in front of the Louvre.
